Established in 1998

Little Rascals Montessori & Creche was established in 1998 and has been providing trusted childcare and early education to families in Kinsale for over 25 years.

Due to our continued growth and the demand for quality childcare in the area, we expanded into our purpose-built facility, designed to offer a safe, modern and stimulating environment for young children.

We care for children from 9 months up to 5 years, supporting each stage of their early development within dedicated rooms tailored to their age and needs. Our setting combines a warm, home-from-home atmosphere with a professional and structured approach to early learning, ensuring every child feels secure, valued and ready to explore.

Our Montessori Approach

Montessori is an approach to early education that recognises children’s natural ability to absorb knowledge when given freedom and independence to learn at their own pace. It is named after Dr. Maria Montessori, whose work focused on the unique way children develop and learn compared to adults.

The approach has become influential worldwide and is widely used in both Montessori settings and mainstream education. It is based on children learning through choice, hands-on experience and guided exploration in a carefully prepared environment supported by trained teachers.

We have 2 children in this creche, they love it and we love it. The staff are excellent, very caring, the girls love them. The artwork that comes home is amazing and must be a lot of fun to make. They are great for organising different activities within the creche itself - teddy bear picnics, St Patrick's Day parades, fire engine visits, pyjama days etc. There is a lovely play area out the back and lots of time spent outside. We highly recommend Little Rascals.
